MRT note generator: cooldowns assigned from your comp.

Write the boss timeline, say what each line needs, and Vantus places your raid’s cooldowns. The note pastes as is into Method Raid Tools.

The MRT note editor on Sha of Pride: “Auto-fill” places the comp’s cooldowns in one go, and a cooldown reused before it has recharged turns red.

From comp to note, in three steps

  1. Pick the comp

An app raid, a Raid-Helper raidplan, or a comp from scratch. Then the game version and the raids.

  2. Write the timeline

One line per moment of the fight: a time, a trigger (cast start, aura applied…) and the cooldowns it needs.

  3. Fill, tweak, copy

Auto-fill assigns the available cooldowns. You adjust by hand, then copy each boss note.

Three ways to start.

Start from a raid planned in the app, a Raid-Helper raidplan or a blank page. Raid data covers Wrath of the Lich King, Mists of Pandaria and Retail.

  • From an app raid
  • From a Raid-Helper raidplan
  • From scratch, player by player
  • No guild needed: open to any account

You say what’s needed, it finds who.

For each line, set the needs (one magic damage reduction, two raid heals…) and the spells’ priority order. Auto-fill tracks recharges: a cooldown is only reused once it is ready.

  • Spell priority, by type
  • Recharges tracked from fight time
  • Per-boss templates to export and share
  • A raid’s shared note, readable by members

The raid comp, nothing to retype.

The note is built on the planner composition: pick the raid and the editor opens on its shared note, with the signed-up players and their cooldowns already in the palette. In the raid, the MRT note button leads there too.

  • Players and cooldowns taken from the comp
  • The raid’s shared note, one click away
  • Copy each boss note

What the MRT note generator does for your raid leader

Writing a Method Raid Tools note by hand means juggling spell IDs, cooldown durations and who brought what tonight. One swap in the comp and half the note is wrong.

Vantus starts from the comp: a raid planned in the app, a Raid-Helper raidplan, or players you add yourself. You write the boss timeline one line at a time, a time and a trigger, and say what each line needs: a magic damage reduction, two raid heals. Auto-fill assigns the cooldowns your raid actually has, following your spell priority and each spell’s recharge.

The result is MRT note text, ready to paste in game, boss by boss. Templates stay in your browser and can be exported to share with another raid leader. The tool works without a guild, for Wrath of the Lich King, Mists of Pandaria and Retail.

MRT note questions

What is an MRT note?

The text the Method Raid Tools addon shows in game during the fight: who uses which cooldown, and when. Vantus produces that text in the right format.

Which versions are supported?

Wrath of the Lich King, Mists of Pandaria and Retail (Midnight). Other versions are coming.

Does Vantus provide boss timelines?

No: you write the timeline line by line. For many bosses, Vantus suggests their notable spells so you pick triggers faster.

How does the note get into the addon?

You copy the boss note in one click, then paste it into Method Raid Tools in game.

Do I need a guild?

No: the tool is open to any logged-in account. With a guild, a raid can also have its shared note, edited by officers and readable by members.

Are my templates saved?

Yes, in your browser: one template per boss. You can export it as text to share it, then import it elsewhere.

Why are the cooldown types in French?

The palette’s categories (damage reduction, raid heal…) are in French for now, in both languages of the app; spell names stay as they are in the game.
