Your raid’s softres, wired to the planner.

A softres lays the night’s loot out flat: everyone reserves the items they’re after, and when one drops, the players on it roll. Tied to the planner, its players are your raid sign-ups, and their reserves show on Discord.

The softres of a Molten Core raid on Classic Era: Kaelis reserves two items, and the row turns complete in the Players panel.

How a softres works

  1. Create the softres

From the raid page: instances, date and players come from the planner. Or a public softres, for any raid, shared by link.

  2. Everyone places their SR

Log in with Discord, then Reserve in the loot table, boss by boss. You set the reserves per player, stacking and bonuses.

  3. Lock and export

Reserves freeze at the time you pick, then the export goes to Gargul or LootReserve for the night’s rolls.

Your raid sign-ups, already in the softres.

On a raid planner, + Softres creates it from the raid page. Its players are the sign-ups, absents excluded: going absent or leaving drops your reserves. A gem next to each name shows who placed theirs, and a reminder waits for those who haven’t finished.

  • Players = planner sign-ups, absents excluded
  • Auto lock: raid time, 1 h before, the day before
  • “Your SR are not placed” reminder
  • Guild members only

Everyone’s reserves, on the planner message.

With the bot, the planner posted on Discord gets a Softres line with its rules, and a gem after each sign-up: lit once their reserves are placed, dim otherwise. The Softres button opens the table, and a reminder mentions those who haven’t finished.

  • Rules and gems on the planner message
  • Softres button next to “View raid”
  • Remind incomplete reserves, by mention
  • The message follows every reserve

On raid night, the reserves in your addon.

Export prepares the reserves for Gargul (/gl sr) or LootReserve (CSV): the addon announces who reserved what when the loot drops. Items kept as HR and players’ notes come along.

  • Gargul, or LootReserve / CSV
  • Items kept as HR by the organizer
  • Players’ notes included (MS, OS…)
  • Downloadable CSV, opens in a spreadsheet

Why a softres tied to the planner?

A standalone softres means one more link to share, an admin link you must not lose, and a player list to cross-check against your sign-ups. On raid night, you still have to check who placed their reserves, and who didn’t even show up.

In Vantus, everything goes through your Discord account: no admin link to keep, you manage the softres from your account. Tied to a planner, it takes the sign-ups as players and follows them: going absent drops their reserves, switching character resets them. Officers place them for pick-ups and players without a Vantus account.

The rules stay yours: reserves per player, stacking on the same item, reserve bonuses by role, class or spec, class-restricted items, closed encounters, items kept as HR. The public softres is free; the planner one is part of the Premium plans.

Softres questions

What is a softres?

A soft reserve: before the raid, each player reserves one or more items from the loot table. When an item drops, the players who reserved it roll.

Is the softres free?

The public softres is free: create one for any raid and share its link. The planner softres (players = sign-ups, automatic lock, reserves on the Discord message, reminders) is part of the Premium plans.

Do I need an account?

A Discord login, in one click. It replaces the admin link: the organizer manages the softres from their account, and everyone finds the softres they reserved in.

Who plays in a planner softres?

The planner’s sign-ups (present, tentative, bench), plus anyone placed in the comp without signing up. Going absent or leaving drops their reserves. Officers with Planner management run the softres.

Which rules can I set?

The reserves per player, stacking on the same item (with a cap), max players per item, class restriction, hidden reserves and reserve bonuses by role, class or spec (the biggest applies, they don’t add up). HR are set item by item.

How do I get the reserves in game?

Export gives the text to paste into Gargul (/gl sr, version 3.1 or newer) or the LootReserve CSV (/reserve host, then Import from CSV). The addon announces reserves when the loot drops.

Which versions of WoW?

Loot tables cover Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria. Forever is coming soon; Retail isn’t supported.

Do reserves update live?

Yes: the table updates without reloading when a player reserves, and the planner’s Discord message follows, gems included.
